I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
